 Introduction

JLR recently unveiled a new corporate identity to support the ‘Reimagine’ strategy and its modern luxury ambition.

JLR’s senior leadership wanted to align uniform with the new brand identity and instil a sense of pride and unity among JLR colleagues. This was part of a wider project to elevate the workplace experience, transform the culture and make further strides in their diversity and inclusion agenda.

Murray’s designers and garment technologists worked with JLR to design a uniform programme to achieve these objectives. We listened to employees to create a ground-up design that embodies the new JLR identity.

Our extensive discovery sessions with senior executives and individual wearers, combined with our knowledge of the Science of Uniform® created a unique solution to achieve JLR’s strategic objectives.

Diversity & Inclusion

JLR wanted to leverage the power of uniform to recognise diverse roles within the company. Murray’s design consultancy process identified several opportunities to accommodate the distinct needs of all personnel.

For example, working alongside JLR’s manufacturing associates and DE&I team, Murray has included a Hijab in the new workwear collection. This allows those who wish, to embrace their faith in the workplace and be themselves at JLR.

Murray also developed several innovative design solutions to meet JLR’s objectives.
