Crafting Careers at LIBERTY Steel UK: Meet Jordan Offler

Jordan- Offler

At the heart of LIBERTY Steel UK lies a team of dedicated individuals who are driving the company’s success. Every day, they ensure smooth production, explore new opportunities for growth, and bring fresh ideas for continuous improvement. These people are the lifeblood of the business, shaping its future and making a positive impact on the world around them. One of those changemakers is Jordan Offler, a Team Leader in the Advanced Machining Centre.

Jordan’s Journey

Jordan joined LIBERTY Steel UK 15 months ago, drawn to the company’s aerospace focus and its investment in young talent. His role as Team Leader involves overseeing production, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe working environment.

“What attracted me to LIBERTY predominantly was I wanted to get into aerospace,” Jordan explains. “The tolerances that you work to, the stipulations that you have to hit to supply into the aerospace market, it was something that I wanted to do.”

LIBERTY’s Investment in Employees

One of the aspects that Jordan values most about LIBERTY is the company’s commitment to employee development. Through various training programmes, Jordan has been able to enhance his skills and knowledge, setting him up for a successful career.

“LIBERTY’s training schemes, and how they invest in young people like myself, are second to none,” Jordan says. “I’ve been with the company around 15 months, and I’ve done various courses, and I’m on a team leader course with college now.”

A Passion for Engineering

Jordan’s enthusiasm for engineering is evident in his work. He finds fulfilment in the entire process, from the raw materials to the finished product.

“I love engineering,” Jordan says. “From raw material coming in to defining a process, to making it happen, programming it, and seeing a tangible product come off at the end. That’s the main thing that gets me out of bed.”

Mentoring the Next Generation

As a Team Leader, Jordan also plays a crucial role in mentoring younger apprentices. He shares his knowledge and experience, helping them develop their skills and prepare for successful careers in engineering.

“We have two apprentices within the AMC team now, and it’s a great opportunity both for them and for us to develop these two young brains into proper engineers,” Jordan says. “We have all the equipment here. We have the people here and the experience here to provide that knowledge.”

A Bright Future

Jordan’s story is a testament to the opportunities available at LIBERTY Steel UK. For young people considering a career in engineering, he encourages them to explore the possibilities that LIBERTY offers.

“If you want a career in engineering, I really urge you to look at LIBERTY,” Jordan advises. “The training that you get here is second to none. Joining the LIBERTY team is a really good option.”
