At Blackpool and The Fylde College, we strive to foster an environment where every individual can thrive, and we are thrilled to celebrate one of our apprentices, Leome, who has been shortlisted for the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards in the Digital and Technology category!
Leome’s achievement highlights the impact of our collective efforts. His journey is an inspiration, showcasing that with hard work and passion, remarkable milestones can be achieved!
Leome’s journey is a testament to his passion for technology and commitment to lifelong learning. After discovering an apprenticeship opportunity at Vodafone, he embarked on a path that perfectly aligns with his love for tech and problem-solving. His journey began with a profound reflection on his career aspirations, and he chose an apprenticeship to gain practical experience while studying for a degree, without incurring significant debt
During his apprenticeship, Leome has achieved remarkable milestones, including leading a disaster recovery and business continuity plan and enhancing operational support models at Vodafone. His proactive approach has improved team collaboration and stakeholder engagement, showcasing his leadership and innovative thinking.
Beyond his professional achievements, Leome is an active community member. He continues to coach and play basketball and recently obtained his refereeing qualification for national league games. He also participated in a charity gaming marathon, raising funds for a colleague.
Balancing fatherhood with his professional commitments, Leome has shown incredible dedication and resilience. He is on track to complete his BSc with First Class Honours and earn his CEH Master and CCNA certifications by July 2024.
