Paula Gill CEO for NWAA “It was a great pleasure to visit Airbus today, and an honour to be able to see the facility and development of the Wing of Tomorrow programme, exploring radical new approaches to the design and manufacture of aircraft wings. The team is investigating the best materials, manufacturing, assembly techniques and new technologies in aerodynamics and wing architecture. This future technology is driven by the sustainability goals set by Airbus which is a core focus for the industry. We look forward to working closely with the team at Airbus, and to enabling opportunities for the North West businesses and supply chain to support Airbus in achieving their future goals”.
